ALL STYLES - ALL AGES - ALL LEVELS

Sean Michael

Sean Michael
Guitar (beginner to intermediate), bass (beginner to intermediate), piano (beginner).

Sean Michael has had a strong passion for music his entire life. Growing up in Palmer, AK, a rural town just North of Anchorage, he spent most of his time teaching himself guitar, bass, and piano. After graduating highschool with some music scholarships, Sean studied music at UAA. That was where he expanded his knowledge on fingerstyle guitar and started writing and creating his own pieces. It was also during this time that he first started teaching music to students in Palmer, while he was still studying.
Sean caters to each student in a different way. It is necessary for students to learn how to play correctly, but it is equally important that the student is having fun along the way. Sean’s style of teaching makes practice seem like an activity of entertainment and delight rather than a tiresome task. Sean’s favorite part of teaching is when the student comes back with a smile on their face, excited to show the instructor what they have learned!
Now, after being in Seattle for almost a year, Sean’s passion for music has not seemed to diminish whatsoever. He has started a punk rock band, worked with many musicians, and is learning how to record music on his own. His love for teaching has not gone away either. Sean has been teaching students online and is very excited to instruct musicians at the Music Factory!
