Saxophone, Clarinet (beginner to intermediate), Piano (beginner to intermediate), Guitar (beginner), Ukulele (beginner).

Martin Nguyen is a multi-instrumentalist and educator in the greater Seattle area.

Martin grew up playing the piano in the 3rd grade and picked up the saxophone in 5th grade. Martin decided to pursue a career in music after falling in love with jazz in high school. Martin was admitted to the University of Washington School of Music where he is currently pursuing his bachelor’s in Jazz Studies and Music Education.

Martin has studied with world-class musicians such as George Garzone, Greg Sinibaldi, Cuong Vu, Marc Seales, Steve Rodby, and Ted Poor.

Martin is an active member of the jazz combosĀ at the UW and has experience being a student teacher. Martin’s philosophy is creating community with music. He wants to support and foster an environment where students feel safe expressing themselves through music and improvisation.
